Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information PareOps ("we", "us") collects when you use this website and its cost analysis, AI explanation, AI assistant and report features (the "Service"), how we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@pareops.in.

1. Information we collect

Demo and contact requests. Your name, work email, company (optional), the topic you choose, your message, and the analysis you linked, if any.
Cost data. The AWS Cost Explorer export you upload, or cost data we fetch from an AWS account you connect: service names, usage types, months and amounts. We also store the results we calculate from it and the AI explanation of those results. Cost data is not meant to contain personal information; please don't add any.
AWS connection details (only if you connect an account): the IAM role ARN and a connection identifier we generate. We never ask for, accept or store AWS access keys or passwords; access is through a read-only role you can delete at any time.
AI assistant messages. What you type is sent to our servers to generate a reply. We don't store conversations on our servers; your browser keeps the conversation for the current tab only, until you close it or start a new one.
Technical data. Your IP address and request details, used to keep the Service secure and enforce usage limits, and recorded in our hosting providers' standard logs.

2. How we use it

To run your cost analysis, explain the results, answer assistant questions and produce your Excel report.
To respond to demo, audit and contact requests.
To protect the Service, including rate limiting and abuse prevention.
To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or use your data to train AI models.

3. AI processing

AI explanations and assistant replies are generated by a third-party AI model service that we run through our own cloud infrastructure. To do that, we send it your calculated cost figures and recommendations, or your assistant messages. AI output can be inaccurate; savings figures are always calculated by PareOps from your data, not by the AI.

4. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the Service: application hosting and databases, cloud infrastructure and AI model services, email delivery for demo request notifications, and Google Fonts for the website's typefaces (your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address). They process information only to provide their services to us. A list of these providers is available on request.

5. How long we keep it

Analyses (uploaded or fetched cost data, results and AI explanations) are deleted automatically 30 days after they are created. Download the Excel report if you want to keep a copy.
Demo and contact requests are kept for as long as needed to respond and manage our relationship with you, or until you ask us to delete them.
Assistant conversations are not stored on our servers.
Technical logs are kept for the limited period set by our hosting providers.

6. Cookies and local storage

We don't use cookies for advertising or analytics. The website uses your browser's session storage only to remember the assistant conversation in the current tab; it is cleared when you close the tab, and you can clear it from your browser at any time.

7. Where your data is processed

Our application servers and database are hosted in Singapore. Our providers may process information in other countries. Where we transfer information across borders, we rely on their security commitments and take reasonable steps to protect it.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), read-only access for connected AWS accounts, usage limits and restricted access to our systems. No system is completely secure, so please don't upload passwords, keys or other secrets.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the EU or UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. To make a request, email hello@pareops.in from the address you used; we aim to respond within 30 days. You can also ask us to delete an analysis before its 30 days are up; include the analysis link.

10. Children

The Service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will make reasonable efforts to let you know.
